WHO Foundation Awards Chrysalis House $10,000 Grant Glenda Burns, BeautiControl's Women Helping Others (WHO Foundation) representative, presented Tammy Pearson and Chrysalis House board members with a check for $10,000 at a ceremony on Friday September 2, 2006. The WHO Foundation was established in 1993 out of the heartfelt philosophy of women helping others. The foundation addresses health, education and wellness concerns specifically for women and children. Relying on donations of individual and corporate contributors, the WHO Foundation has provided funding for critical health and education projects that give women and children the knowledge and tools they need to improve their lives. The foundation supports national grass-roots charities that serve the overlooked needs of women and children. Last year the WHO Foundation raised more than $600,000 for donation to worthy charities. In a recent WHO's News newsletter Who Advisory Board Chair, Nancy Willis, reminded BeautiControl family members that they are the heart of WHO. Willis wrote "H E A R T...I think of it like this... H .. .is for HELPING others; E ... is for the EYES of a child and the innocence of a heart; A ... is for being AWARE of the needs of people...and what we can do to help; R ... is for RAISING the bar, raising expectations and raising hope; T... is for TOGETHER...because together, we can make it happen!"
